How do I begin a chanting practice?
A common question asked by students and it sparked an answer that eventually became this course.
A 5-week practice based course joining together the exploration of breath and sound.
Through simple yogic breathing techniques, we become more aware of the thread of breath as it unfolds within our own bodies; bringing us into a more calm and balanced state. We place upon that thread the sacred sounds of mantra, nourishing our hearts and opening to devotion. Together, we will journey through the practices of meditation, conscious breathing, and mantra as a path of cultivating stillness. Establishing a foundation for you to integrate them into your own personal spiritual practice.
Though there will be some discussion, the focus of our 5 classes is primarily on practice. Each class will methodically build upon the last to share these practices in a way that’s accessible as well as honors the tradition of these practices.
