Sthira Bhaga: Third Series Exploration
Live Online on Zoom
8-10am AEDT || Saturdays, October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, & Nov. 2nd, 2024
sthira: fixed, immovable, steadfast, faithful, grounded, patient, unwavering.
bhaga: beauty, dignity, love, excellence.
Though there are different translations as to what Sthira Bhaga, or the Third Series of Ashtanga, means, the common thread that links them all is an essence of easeful stability, a steadiness embodied by the practitioner.
But let’s be honest, the Third Series is challenging! But throughout these five classes, we will look at breaking postures down step-by-step, alternative sequences, and ways of practicing. Learning how to approach this series and work with its postures intelligently, methodically, and adaptively to fit our individual circumstances.
These sessions will take place Live on Zoom and be interactive, leaving space for questions and discussion. Recordings will be sent out within 48 hours and will be available for three months.
You do not have to be practicing Third Series to join these classes. However, it’s recommended that you have an established understanding of Primary and Second Series. If you have any questions if this course is for you, please reach out!
