In Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, the Primary Series is the first and foundational series in Ashtanga yoga. It is a specific series of poses linked together in a flowing dynamic sequence that harmonizes movement, breath, and gaze. Over time, the practice is meant to calm the nervous system, build strength, and cultivate flexibility.
The practice will be guided at a steady pace with options given for various postures. If you are new to the practice, you are welcome to come join and do as much is comfortable!
