Journey to the edge of the world in Tasmania with Peg Mulqueen and Meghan Powell for a six-night Ashtanga Yoga Retreat nestled within the wild coast of the South Arm Peninsula. A unique opportunity to travel off the beaten path to this tiny island, breathe in the pristine mountain air, and walk along gorgeous uninhabited beaches.
Immerse yourself in a holistic yoga experience, allowing you to press pause, breathe deep, and nourish your inner world. Together, we’ll have five mornings that begin with meditation, light pranayama, and mantra, followed by Mysore-style practice to receive individual guidance. Plus, three-afternoon workshops exploring the physical practice, technique, and yoga philosophy.
Details:
The Mysore classes are self-directed but assisted by Peg & Meghan, which allows for one-on-one personalized guidance within your Ashtanga vinyasa practice. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or just beginning, all will be fully supported and are welcome to join this retreat. Workshops will be held on Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday afternoons.
Check-in is Wednesday the 24th. The retreat begins on Thursday, the 25th. The last session is on the morning of Monday the 29th, and check-out is the same day at 11 a.m.
Location:
Embrace slow island living at the Lauriston Homestead, a restored farmhouse reflecting the property’s heritage and wild surrounding nature. Sessions will be held on the property, and in between, find yourself taking a walk down to the beach via your own private access, finding a sunny nook to journal in, or popping down to the local cafe where you can enjoy a post-practice coffee! Or, during a free afternoon, take a day trip to Hobart and explore some of the many things this historic city has to offer!
Meghan is your South Arm local to answer any questions about the area, and after registering, you’ll receive a welcome packet with more detailed information to make your Tasmania experience as memorable as possible.

South Arm is located 40 minutes outside of Hobart CBD. However, there are many options in South Arm as well as the surrounding area to stay. Meals:
This is a self-catered retreat, which means you’ll be responsible for your own meals, and the Lauriston has a large, home-style kitchen to make you feel right at home. Either cook up your own meal, share a potluck, or visit one of the many Hobart restaurants. More info will be provided upon registration.
Transportation:
Hobart International Airport is a 30-minute drive from the retreat location. Uber, taxis, or car rentals are available at the airport. Car-pooling may be an option and possibly be facilitated. Travel costs are not included.
